I decided to see my thinning ankle

August 15th, 2008 -- Posted in Practicing Goodfinding | No Comments »

I’m in the process of losing weight and I have about 50 more pounds to go. Today I leaned down to scratch my leg and my calf looked doughy and cottage-cheesy to me. My immediate thought was, “Gosh darn it, I thought I was losing weight and looking so good, but my calf looks awful”.  I amazed myself by continuing to look down my leg at my getting-slimmer-every-day ankle and admiring the nice indentation that wasn’t there a few days ago. I reminded myself that my body loves working with me to be its most beautiful shape and that everyday I am more and more seeing the slim me.

My dominant intent throughout the day is to find the best feeling thought I can. Does it have to be the best feeling thought that ever was? NO! It just has to be a thought that makes me feel a little bit better than where I started.

43 Things - Make a List of What to Focus On

August 3rd, 2008 -- Posted in Other GoodFinder Resources | No Comments »

Our basic premise is that we get more of what we focus on. Well I just found this site that is a very cool way to make it easier to focus on the things that are important to you. It’s called 43 Things and this is what they say:
Most people never make a list of their goals. And most never achieve them. People who make a Life List live richer lives.

What I like about this site is that it makes it easy to share your list of goals with other people who have similar goals and to cheer each other on. There are so many resources on the web for complaining, criticizing, and commiserating with other people that this site is a breath of fresh air. And it definitely fits our definition of a GoodFinder!
