The Happiest Places on Earth

Did you know there was a database of world happiness? Neither did I. But evidently there is and they’ve ranked 95 nations on a happiness scale.

Turns out there isn’t a correlation between how happy a nation is and the conditions of the nation. It has more to do with how people view the circumstances they’re in, rather than the circumstances themselves. The articles says, “So far, the data reveal national happiness doesn’t predictably track average income, type of government — democracy versus dictatorship —or even warm climate.”

Don’t judge your insides by other people’s outsides

Just because someone looks like they have it all together and life is paradise for them, it isn’t necessarily true. They could be eaten up inside by worry, stress, guilt, depression, all kinds of things.

Don’t look around and say, “everybody else has it all together, why don’t I?” You may actually be in a better place than they are and don’t even realize it.

The mind that created a problem is not the same one that can solve it.

In other words, quit worrying and obsessing over the problem, you can’t come up with the solution that way. Relax about it and let the universe do its work. It will present the solution to you if you quiet your mind and allow it in.
